From the county CEO's office: The DeKalb County House Delegation will be having a Legislative Preview/Town Hall Meeting to discuss important issues and initiatives taking place under the Gold Dome this upcoming 2013 Legislative Session. The Delegation would also like to hear your comments and concerns as they prepare to start another legislative session. Below are the dates, times, and locations of these Town Hall Meetings (the North Druid Hills - Briarcliff Patch has different dates but Rep. Kendrick confirms the CEO dates are correct as of 12/18/12):

A resident reported that there were torrents of silt-laden water flooding into South Fork Peachtree Creek today from the AGL pipeline project site on Willivee Drive. A call to the county led to a site visit and a request that the contractor stop work until silt and sedimentation controls were put in place. The contractor agreed to comply. Strictly speaking AGL is exempt from county ordinances. The county can still complain to AGL about the contractor and to EPD about AGL, however, and we are told they will especially since the project is heading right into the
