MANA Neighborhood Watch's new online network includes CHCA

MANA's Neighborhood Watch has set up a "NextDoor Medlock Park" network. it's like a private Facebook for neighbors only.  The geographic boundaries include streets in both MANA and CHCA since we share common concerns.  If you click to join, the program will ask for your real street address to verify that you live within the boundaries.  You can edit your profile, however, to show only the street and not the house number.  In fact, you can choose to share only your name and street.  From MANA: "Our neighborhood is using a private online network called Nextdoor Medlock Park, and we think you'll benefit from joining us. On our Nextdoor site, neighbors share community events, recommendations, items for sale/free, crime/safety concerns, ideas about how to make our neighborhood better, and more. Please join us to build a better neighborhood!

MANA Neighborhood Watch bulletin March 2013

From the Medlock Area Neighborhood Association: MANA Neighborhood Watch - March 2013.

Neighborhood Watch Meeting  April 24, 2013, 7:00 pm at North Decatur Presbyterian Church.   Major Tracy, who is now in charge of Center precinct (the precinct we live in) will be speaking and answering questions.  Please email us at with questions prior to the meeting.  Thank you Dawn Forman for setting this meeting up for our neighborhoods!

The Neighborhood Watch Team have been working hard to update the Watch List.  Some of the information on the list is very outdated. Many of you sent us corrections after we sent the E-letter in February.  Please continue to email us with corrections and be patient with us as we go through this transition.

The Medlock/MANA Watch receives watch information from over eight different communities around us.  We are starting to include this information in our e-letters.  These reports are not meant to scare anyone but to keep everyone informed.  Our Neighborhood Watch is only as good as the neighbors who participate.  We need more coordinators for the 61 grids that make up our Medlock Watch.  Please contact us and get involved!

MANA Neighborhood Watch January 2013

From the Medlock Neighborhood Watch Team:  Happy New Year!  There have been great successes with the Neighborhood Watch programs in several neighborhoods.  One of our Medlock neighbors approached a guy who was parked in the driveway next to them and called the police.  He claimed to know the owners and did some fine sweet talking but was robbing the house.  The robber knew the homeowners were out of town.  In Toco Hills, 4 males were arrested for break ins due to the neighbors being alerted  to criminal activity.  The Watch is aware of what is going on around you and call 911 if you see suspicious people or activity.  Get to know your neighbors and watch out for each other.  Please read the attached E-letter.  We are connected to many of the N'hood Watch groups in the area and think it is important to know what is going on around us.
