A neighbor in Sagamore Hills reports that a "flim flam" man approached a friend as she got out of her car at Toco Hills July 4 and immediately started spraying paint on her car while trying to tell her he was fixing scratches and dents. "She told him that she wasn't interested and he just kept on and told her how perfect he would make it etc for a fraction of the cost. She told him to stop it and that he had just used gray spraypaint and he told her that when she went home and buffed off the wax it would look absolutely wonderful, not to worry. Then he told her she now owed him $200 and would need to go to an ATM. She described him as very forceful, slick and persistent. She told him there was no way she was paying him for what he had done and she thinks that because people were walking nearby that he finally backed off.... " Other neighbors recommended in such a situation calling 911 and/or hitting the red panic button (if you have one) on your remote, which will sound the horn repeatedly and/or instead of talking to him, just yell loudly "get away from my car!"
