From CEO Burrell Ellis: Once again, we are holding Town Hall Meetings all across DeKalb County so that you can ask questions and discuss your priorities with me, face-to-face. We'll be talking about your county government's budget, public safety, jobs and economic development, delivery of county services, code compliance, and municipal governments. Let's talk about our transportation options, with an eye towards our vote in the summer on the transportation sales tax referendum.
I also want to tell you about some of our path-breaking projects, including OneDeKalb Lives, an innovative program to put teachers, first responders and other citizens into homes in many of DeKalb County's most attractive neighborhoods; OneDeKalb Works, an ambitious plan that leverages public spending to provide opportunities for residents to secure gainful employment and grow small businesses; and OneDeKalb Votes, my commitment to crisscross the county to ensure everyone understands the importance of voting and registering new voters.
