Neighborhood Spring Clean-Up

Event Date and Time:
05/15/2010 - 9:00am - 1:00pm

Saturday, May 15, 9AM-1PM. Meet at Medlock Elementary for Coffee and Bagels at 9AM. MANA and CHCA residents are invited to participate.  Residents can help simply by cleaning trash and litter from the street in front of their homes.  A "Clean Curb Challenge" is also part of this year’s focus so we encourage residents to clean the debris from the street in front of your property (and maybe your neighbors if you know they would like the help). If everyone just made this effort we'd have a lot fewer clogged drains and wider streets making it safer for pedestrian and cyclist.

There is always a variety of light to more intensive work so all ages are welcome. Bring work clothes, gloves, shovels, rakes, and brooms.

MANA's announcement: Meet at Medlock Elementary for Coffee and Bagels at 9AM.  Join up with fellow residents (volunteers from MANA, CHCA, and Medlock PTA) as we pick up litter, clean out storm drains, spruce up Medlock school grounds, and make the neighborhood more attractive!

Our Annual Neighborhood Clean-up is part of the Keep DeKalb Beautiful "Campaigning for a Cleaner, Greener DeKalb". The county is providing a limited number of t-shirts so arrive early to get your free shirt.

A "Clean Curb Challenge" is also part of the focus so we encourage those who can't make it out to clean the debris from the street in front of your property (and maybe your neighbors if you know they would like the help).
