An 8-year-old girl underwent vascular and plastic surgery Tuesday evening after being severely injured by two dogs in DeKalb County, police said. "When a sergeant got to the scene, he observed both dogs attacking the child," Officer Jason Gagnon told the AJC. The child , who police originally said was 7, was apparently playing outside Tuesday afternoon when she was approached by the dogs, police said. The officer pulled out his baton to forcefully remove the two Staffordshire Terriers from the child, Gagnon said.
